Shine the Light

Its been a little hard living in the moment in the past couple of days…I’ve been thinking too much of what is going to happen in the future. And my parents are visiting for 5 weeks starting Wednesday and I’ve ben thinking of the impact that this will have on my life…I’m way to independent! I need my space…damn!! We and our limiting beliefs!!
I had a great weekend..I saw an amazing performance workshop

I saw this amazing movie over the weekend ..Coach Carter…great movie…it is based on a true story of a school coach’s great vision of creating schoolboys into ‘men’! ‘Men’ in the real world..There was this amazing quote from the movie that just caught my attention..it one of those quotes that is going to stay with me for life…here goes…see what you can take from it..its an epiphany for me!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Sir I just wanna say thank you…you saved my life.

Giving Blood

I donated blood for the first time in my life about a month ago…It was an amazing experience..very surreal!

It just felt plain and simple good..Unconditional giving!

My blood group is AB+ve and I’m a universal platelet donor..I was reading through some documentation that they gave me while I was donating blood..Our local blood banks are perennially short of blood supplies all year around. If each one of us make it a point to donate blood once a couple of months..we would make a tremendous difference…every time a new donor donates blood for the first time …he saves a life!! now that hit me really hard..I was probably saving a life…something my parents have been doing all their life..(not coz they donate blood..but they are both doctors!)

Saving a life can be a very empowering experience….it was for me..at the same time I didn’t treat it as an ego boost or ego trip..I’m still very aware and thankful that I did have the chance to give blood ..and I’m going to make this a regular practice!

I just got this letter from the blood bank in the mail last week.

Thanks you for Giving Blood

What does a journey mean to you?

Some people say Life is a journey, a journey with endless experiences, but every journey has a beginning and an end. Where did this journey begin and where does it end? I believe in the journey of the soul, from my past lives to my present and through the future. This body is ephemeral but the soul is enduring!
